The Ultimate Savannah, Georgia Travel Guide

Updated: May 11, 2023

Pack your bags and head to Savannah, Georgia. Savannah, Georgia is filled with history, beautiful parks, outstanding restaurants, a fun night scene, great shopping and phenomenal river views. I highly recommend traveling to Savannah, Georgia for a girls weekend, bachelor or bachelorette trip or a getaway with friends!

Savannah, Georgia is a fun place to visit at any time of the year. However, Savannah does get extremely hot and humid in the summer. I enjoy traveling to Savannah in May or June before the summer heat.

Savannah is a vibrant city with numerous activities for writers, musicians, art lovers, foodies, history buffs and everyone in between. This upbeat southern city is full of life, friendly people and beautiful places to explore.

Savannah, Georgia has an abundance of restaurants with varying cuisines. Below are my favorite breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner restaurants.

Coco & Moss - is a delicious Japanese cuisine restaurant with a vegan friendly menu. I enjoy the Dutch Rose signature cocktail, "rice rice baby" warm bowl as well as the avocado sushi roll. The artsy and lively environment makes Coco & Moss a fun dining location!

Little Duck Diner - is a vintage chic diner with great breakfast foods and drinks. I love having brunch at Little Duck Diner with friends! Per the restaurant's name, the drinks have a small yellow duck in the beverages. Little Duck Diner has an upbeat atmosphere and accommodating and friendly wait staff. This brunch spot is immensely popular!

The Grove Savannah - is a casual dining restaurant open for lunch and dinner and also has a beautiful rooftop bar and outdoor rooftop lounge for late night drinks. The Grove has an extensive signature cocktail menu. I like the French Twist and Capri cocktails. For dinner I order the roasted garlic hummus and roasted sweet potato and spinach salad.

Night Life - Savannah, Georgia has an outstanding night life scene. There are numerous rooftop bars throughout the city. Savannah has an open contain law which allows you to walk the streets with a to-go pouch of booze. There are a multitude of bars all within walking distance, many on the same block, which makes going out more fun.

Shopping - Savannah has great shopping along the riverfront and sprinkled around the city. Stop by Broughton Street for local boutiques as well as national chain stores like Lululemon, Urban Outfitters, J.Crew, and more!

Stroll the City - Savannah is a very walkable city. The best places to walk in Savannah are the Riverwalk, Forsyth Park and the historic district.

When you are visiting Savannah, Georgia schedule time to see the surrounding areas, such as Tybee Island, Georgia and Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Happy Travels!

XOXO,

Katy
